Ashmolean Museum Finds Egyptian Blue in Taharqa Shrine, Hidden Since Roman Era
Shrine of Taharqa: Oxford's Ashmolean Museum used near-infrared imaging to recover Egyptian blue and other pigments invisible on Britain's only freestanding ancient Egyptian building for nearly 2,000 years, confirming the 2,700-year-old Kushite shrine was originally fully polychrome. Results will be projected publicly, free of charge, from 13 November 2026. — Tech Times
